A first time mom preparing for birth, hoping to feel confident and prepared both physically and emotionally.
How I Helped:
Guided her through breathing techniques, movement, positioning, and comfort measures during labor, and helped her partner stay involved and confident throughout. When labor didn't go exactly as planned, helped her understand her options and make informed decisions.

She felt supported every step of the way, and continued to get hands on guidance with breastfeeding and newborn care in the first days after birth.
“Tatiana was an incredible source of support throughout my pregnancy, birth, and postpartum journey.”, Polina
POSTPARTUM & NEWBORN CARE
Situation:
Wanted continuous support through pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, including help adjusting to life with a new baby.
How I Helped:
Provided calm, hands on comfort measures and encouragement during labor, then continued with evidence based breastfeeding guidance and newborn care support after birth.
Outcome:
Felt genuinely cared for during one of the most important times of her life, and confident navigating breastfeeding and newborn care in the early weeks at home.
“From ages 2 weeks to 8 weeks, she helped me with my breastfeeding journey when my daughter had difficulty latching. Now I have a happy and healthy 6-month-old who I have been able to exclusively breastfeed.”, Anonymous Mom
BREASTFEEDING & FEEDING SUPPORT
Situation:
This first time mom wanted more than a quick fix for her daughter's latch difficulties. She was looking for steady, hands on guidance through the early postpartum weeks, for feeding, and for caring confidently for her newborn.
How I Helped:
Over several weeks, we worked through latch and positioning, built a plan to protect her milk supply, and covered hands on newborn care, including baby massage, tummy time, and early movement.
Outcome:
By six months, her daughter was thriving as a happy, healthy baby, fully and exclusively breastfed, exactly the outcome this family had hoped for.
“Our baby is on 100% breastmilk now. I'm so grateful for your help and encouragement!”, Amy
BREASTFEEDING & FEEDING SUPPORT
Situation:
Amy's baby was born prematurely, weighing just 4 lb 11 oz. She was working toward exclusive breastfeeding while combining nursing, bottle feeding, and pumping to establish and protect her milk supply.
How I Helped:
Together, we built a personalized breastfeeding and pumping plan, worked on optimizing nursing and bottle feeding, and I provided ongoing guidance and encouragement as her feeding journey progressed.
Outcome:
Within two months, her baby had doubled in weight to 8 pounds and was thriving on 100% breast milk. Amy was confidently breastfeeding, pumping three times a day, building a freezer stash of 100 to 200 mL per day, and even considering becoming a breast milk donor.
“Working with Tatiana has by far been the best help with lactation from the start! We learned so much important information about not only breastfeeding but also general wellness, massage and important growth exercises for my baby.”, Hannah

Outcome:
Within one week, their baby was latching well and exclusively breastfeeding. Just as importantly, Hannah felt empowered to keep moving forward and not give up.

As a new mom navigating breastfeeding and the postpartum period, Sanika wanted expert guidance she could trust, for lactation and for the many other questions that come with caring for a newborn.
How I Helped:
Together, we worked through evidence based breastfeeding support alongside newborn care and postpartum concerns, with guidance built around her family's specific questions.

BREASTFEEDING & FEEDING SUPPORT
Situation:
After giving birth to her third child, Gabrielle experienced severe nipple pain every time her baby latched. Since she had never faced this problem with her previous children, she felt overwhelmed and worried she wouldn't be able to continue breastfeeding.

Through several in-home consultations, I assessed the latch, corrected positioning, provided practical techniques to promote healing, and offered ongoing encouragement and reassurance throughout the process.

🛡 Insurance & Payment
I work with many major insurance plans, and flexible self pay options are also available. See full insurance details below.
Insurance & Payment
Coverage may make support more affordable than you think.
I work with many major insurance plans. Coverage depends on your specific plan, eligibility, and the type of support you are receiving. Many clients have coverage through:
MassHealth
Aetna
Cigna
UnitedHealthcare
Blue Cross Blue Shield, including select Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts plans
Learn more about lactation insurance coverage through The Lactation Network (TLN) or Cigna Health.
Lactation and breastfeeding related support is the most commonly covered service. Labor and birth support is typically billed separately, and we can go over exactly what applies to your situation during your first call.
If your insurer is not listed, or a specific service is not covered, you may still qualify for out of network reimbursement. This often applies to plans such as Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Tufts Health Plan / Point32Health, and Mass General Brigham Health Plan.
On request, I provide a detailed receipt, called a superbill, that you can submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Coverage and reimbursement amounts depend on your individual benefits.
For any services not covered by insurance, flexible payment plans are available, with the option to split the cost over up to six interest free payments.
Not sure what applies to your situation? I am happy to help you look into your options during our first call.
For reference, online sessions start at $175 (60 min), and in person sessions start at $350 (90 min). Multi-session packages offer a lower rate per session.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the questions families ask most often.
General Questions
What is a doula, and how is that different from my doctor or midwife?
A doula does not provide medical care or make clinical decisions. I offer continuous physical, emotional, and informational support before, during, and after birth, working alongside your medical team rather than replacing them.
When should I hire a doula?
Many families reach out during the second trimester, but it is never too early, or too late, to ask. I am happy to talk with you at any point in your pregnancy.
Will having a doula affect my partner's role during birth?
Not at all. I work alongside your partner and help them feel confident and involved, rather than stepping into their role.
What languages do you speak?
I offer support in English, Russian, and Hebrew.
Insurance & Getting Started
Do you accept insurance?
Many consultations are covered by insurance, including several major plans. Coverage depends on your individual policy. I will gladly help you check your benefits before scheduling.
Do you work with MassHealth?
Yes. Many MassHealth members are eligible for lactation support. Coverage depends on your specific plan.
What if I am not sure which service I need?
Start with a free 15 to 20 minute discovery call. We will discuss your situation and decide together which type of support is the best fit.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on your goals. Some families benefit from a single consultation, while others choose ongoing support before and after birth.
Can we work together if I do not live in Massachusetts?
Absolutely. Online consultations are available worldwide.
Birth & Special Situations
Can you support a VBAC birth?
Yes. I support families planning a VBAC and help you prepare physically, emotionally, and with evidence based information.
Do you attend home births?
Yes. Depending on availability and location, I support both hospital and home births.
Do you support families recovering from a cesarean birth?
Yes. I provide guidance for recovery, breastfeeding, early bonding, and emotional adjustment after a cesarean birth.
Do you have experience with premature babies, twins, or NICU stays?
Yes. With years of experience as a NICU nurse, I offer specialized, compassionate support for premature babies, multiples, and babies with complex feeding needs.
Can lactation support really work over a video call?
In many cases, yes. I can observe positioning, latch, and feeding cues over video and guide you in real time. For some situations, an in person session may work better, and we can decide together what fits your needs.
